I'm sorry the turn out was bad--and usually, it IS pretty good...but most people doing NaNo do NOT think of it like we do. This is a hobby (at best), possibly something they're doing for the first time and are really not that impassioned about. Hopefully, a few more people will respond to the forum post on whether they want the location moved, and I'm sorry you were sad about it--but, again, most people doing this think it's just fun, aren't serious about it, and just don't want to wake up in teh earlies of the morning to write. :/ I KNOW we've had good turn outs before, but every year is different people--maybe this is just the year of not-so-dedicated people, and the morning write-ins can be a more calm, contemplative time--and you got writing done...which is made of win.
