From the Trenches

lathrielSo it's been a pretty stressful few weeks. I feel like I'm never really "off." Bleh. Workin' 9-5/5-9. It's nuts.
But, it's mostly good. I can do the stress thing when it's because I'm working towards a goal. Working at the office isn't bad. It's not amazing, but I'm focusing on the good things- the flexibility, the decent pay, the relaxed environment. I got a great six month review last week, and a raise, so that's awesome. It's just hard to do that thing that makes the money, then have any energy to come home and do that thing that I enjoy that doesn't yet make money. I mean to- I intend to- but lately I end up falling asleep. Then there's about an hour of doing things before I get tired again cause it's dark and cold out. And also I feel bad for not spending more quality time with Jared :( But I think, in all honesty, the past few weeks have been a combination of bad timing for domestic disasters and hormone-related energy issues. So, nothing so bad is really happening.
I've been working on making my book trailer for TPaL all last week/weekend. It's taking a while, I'm having trouble getting some video transitions to work the way they're supposed to. Luckily Jared was able to find a copy of Adobe Creative suite for me, so I'll have access to some better programs shortly. I might even be able to do a little animation (It's one of my fantasies that some really talented animator will want to make TPaL into an animated movie... I think it lends itself to the art form ;D). :D Anyway, even if I can't figure out, I can finagle final cut to make something happen. Something decent enough. But I'd prefer something awesome, not something "decent enough," lol. And I enjoy animating :)
In other news, I have lots of ideas for stories. So many that it's becoming very frustrating to not have the time to work on them XD But when I get the chance (tonight hopefully) I've got a lot of ideas about The Hierophant that I need to implement. Something surprising revealed itself to me in the car the other day-something I find myself resisting, which means it will probably go in. It's big.
