Lalala!

Okay. So, in my last post I mentioned that I have all these ideas for projects in my brain. And what makes a writer happier than listing out all of the projects she's currently working on? Or, in my new case since I'm focusing on finishing The Poppet and the Lune (at least on my computer), the projects I think about most often and am anticipating working on in due time...

- The Poppet and the Lune I woke up the other morning with it clearly in my mind, the reason I was not enthusiastic about any of my projects was because I was spreading my creativity too thin. TPatL (which I've been thinking of abbreviating as TPaL instead cause sounds like BPAL, and a part of me hopes that one day BPAL will do a line of scents for TPaL... ;D) is an ongoing and publicly displayed project, so it has priority. Also, I'm the furthest along in its story, and I know this is the point where I have to go full steam ahead, or else I risk blocking myself.

- The Hierophant I don't think I posted about it, but an agent asked for the full manuscript last week (omgomgomg). I'm excited, of course, but the most important thing is that I know my book will get published, whether this lady is my agent or not. Of course, it'd be great if she is the one! Anyway, I love love love that book and I know it's going to be a success.

- The Tower I got really excited about this, the sequel to The Hierophant, a few weeks ago and began to rewrite it (I lost everything but the prologue when my hard drive crashed- probably a good thing, because everything but the prologue was pretty bad). When I wrote The Hierophant, it was almost a time out of time kind of magical channeling experience. I never intended for it to be any good, so I was very carefree about the whole thing. I need to achieve a similar state to write The Tower, so I'm waiting until I've finished TPaL to continue with it, so I can give it my full attention.

- Sisters of the Sea (working title) This is that fairy tale I came up with a couple of weeks ago. I still love it, but it, like other "short stories" I've begun, is begging to become a novel. So, I'm setting it aside until I have time to really look at it, and what I want it to say.

- The Rock Opera Ideas are still coming and going, but I need it to be a story I get really excited about. Trying to force one out hasn't been working. But, I think we're making some headway with taking a more humorous route...

- Various Non-fiction Projects The travel book is on hold while Aaron is in Biarritz learning French and taking surfing lessons :p I'm not too passionate about it anyway right now. There's another secret project that will involve collaboration with some classy ladies I know, but right now that too must get set aside. Non-fiction takes a lot more planning than fiction, and I just don't feel like it right now, to be honest.

- Reality t.v. pitches??? That's right, I've got two excellent ideas for reality t.v. shows. One is just a ploy to get someone else to pay for me to hike the Appalachian Trail, and the other is like Intervention, but a million times more hilarious. Secrets!

- Renaissance Don't worry, I'm still transcribing. I worry that the writing is a little juvenile as I'm reading it, though, so I've been revising a little, too. It's taking FOR EV AR. But it will be finished, eventually. And, some day, I might actually begin to write Book II: "The Recollective" ...

So many projects! So much awesome!!! I'm excited to plunge into TPaL this week, and start up my new daily ritual. Of course, just as I decided to have a daily ritual, an old friend comes into town and I'm supposed to have brunch with her tomorrow morning (which will be great, but I never seem to be able to start these regiments I decree for myself!)... ah well.

Possible tattoo this Friday (Cat just got stitches in her arm, might have to reschedule); Scottish Festival on Saturday; either a festival on Sunday or rifftrax-a-thon. All Good Things Are Coming My Way. :D

Life is good! I know it has its ups and downs, but god damn- it's fucking beautiful! :D

I just feel so inspired lately... so happy... so care free. I shouldn't feel care free at all, logically- but I hate logic, don't you? It makes us think awful things.

There are so many ideas in my head- so many projects to work on- alone, with friends, and family. So many exciting things ahead! There's the Salem pilgrimage in a few weeks (a road trip with 3 of the most awesome ladies ever; whale watching!; the fantabulous New England coast, and all the wonderful energy it brings with it; and the general magic that I feel in that touristy little town ;D). And Heather might be coming to visit me before summer ends! THAT will be epic! She and I are awesome- together we're mind-blowingly awesome. I don't know if Buffalo can handle us. Plus, I just have a feeling... things are happening. My third and fourth chakra tell me so. Nothing as huge as the hand that reached out of my solar plexus when I went to the study abroad fair, but definitely something.

Also, new projects- totally new! I've still got my fantastic novels to work on and query agents about, but there's non-fiction projects now! The Buffalo travel guide, and another secret collaboration... And there's the rock opera, which has had some developments in the past 24 hours (I don't want to say just yet, I'm letting it settle in my brain for now)! And, an old project, a website Sarah and I thought of last year... I'm really feeling it now. Plus, I want to redesign my own website to make it more user-friendly, and get my blog on there/The Poppet and the Lune.

Heeeee. I love it when this stuff happens.

And now, a meme )
