Piercings... 13:2
Sep. 18th, 2005 04:36 pmI just changed my background picture to the one of me and Kristen on her last day, and I remembered how funny it was to be all pierced and... funny. (For those of you who don't see me on a regular basis, I took out my nose ring last month because the stone fell out and I didn't feel like buying another one. Also, for those of you who don't know me very well, I've had 13 piercings in my life and I'm down to just the 2 earlobes) But piercings are a pain in the ass, keeping them clean and coordinated with your hair color and outfits and jobs... it's cool to be normal, too, i guess.
speaking of which I'm really struggling with the temptation to dye my hair. but, no, in case I find a place to apply at and get a job, i must be normal. then, maybe...
well, I've been working on character sketches this past week. I've got 3 info sheets done and 2 portraits, and I actually finished the time line up until the third book. thats over 3000 years. hhhheheh.
new nerdy obsession for the week: Fullmetal Alchemist. Yeah, I know what you're saying. "But, Maddie, don't you hate anime?" well, "hate" is such a strong word. I rather dislike the craze, and don't much like the kids I've known who were "all about it" who I won't mention now because I don't know if anyone who reads this is still friends with them, but they were jerks (one of them punched me in the face for denting his pop can freshman year). But, see, when you're a "solitaire picayune" such as myself, you tend to watch a lot of [adultswim] just for the chance to see a little Robot Chicken or a new episode of Family Guy. And, as we all know, [adultswim] plays quite a bit of anime. Some 3am this past week brought me the joys of Fullmetal Alchemist and I've been hooked since.
Oh well, I'm sure it'll pass.
Besides, who has time for tv??? Not me, not when I have chronicles and novels and short stories to construct with my wild imagination... muwaha...
ahem. whoo i'm feeling a little goofy, I'd better get back to work.
