( So I saw Narnia last night... )
And I've hopefully got an ending for my NaNo in sight. Just a scene or two away, I believe, then all will be concluded, except for... well, 7 out of 9 murders. Ah, unreliable narrator, I love you. I'm so glad I bought that writing exercise book. I had no idea that that was what I was even doing throughout the entire book, and now instead of complaining about how difficult it was, I can use it to my advantage! Then after I move I can revise the whole thing, format it, send it to LuLu.com and get my bound copy. Yay! I don't know if it will be much of a sampling of my best prose, or if the plot is really all that engaging or satisfying, but it will be worth it just to see the way I managed to write it all. It's... well, even though it sucks right now, it's still the only thing I've written in the past 3 years that I'm honestly satisfied with and proud of.
::wiggles with joy::
My deadline for the rough draft being finished is today, and I have to finish stuffing a bajillion envelopes for my dad. He was gone for two days and my mother got me to slack of with her while we did alternative medicine things for me (which has, by the way, become an ironically easy and relaxing therapy compared to the epidural. I've started a regiment of homepathics, vitamins, herbs, and minerals- easy enough- and wearing a compress taped to my back with all these different nice smelling oils in it that will seep into my body and break down the inflamation so that my body can metabolize it and get rid of it. I'm also going to be getting a theraputic massage some time soon, and we'll probably check out some of those body magnets from Nikken. Even though this takes more time and is gooey and kind of a hassle, it's still way more relaxing than getting stabbed in the spine with a needle full of steroids).
So, today:
-Buy anti-allergen spray for Collins's house/our apartment
-Fold a million contracts and stuff a million envelopes
-Finish writing my NaNo
-Hang upside-down for a few minutes
-Do a happy dance
cookies saturday! woot!
