I loved this cartoon! We had it on VHS. My sister was a tad bit more obsessed with it than I was, but it is definitely a classic. SO SAD when the toys are being destroyed at the end.
he looks really sad in the whole movie because he's an inanimate object until he becomes real. I'd probably have the artist give a slight curve of the mouth to at least make him look thoughtful though.
Yes! This still is from the version I watched as a kid. I watched it again a few years ago, possibly again even more recently... I just love that movie so much. If you click on the "velveteen" tag I have another post with a quote from the horse that always makes me teary-eyed
