I'd like to take a moment to share with you my deep and utter and most sincerest hatred for the uncontrollable passage of time. It is my new pet peeve. one more face to stare you down as condescendingly as possible, or possibly not, possibly just haughtily, or angrily, or that evil kind of muwahahahaha stare, with flared nostrils and a slim cool eyebrow raised in almost... indifferent defiance! that bastard- so cool.
runner up to the passage of time, of course, (and many i think would share this useless negative feeling) is the necessity for sleep. R.E.M. slumber. rest. daily recuperation. you have to sleep instead of doing things you want or need to get done; but you resist and stay awake for too long and don't get enough sleep; you're tired all day; you have no energy to get work done; you go to bed; you get too much or too little sleep again; you're still exhausted the next day.... etc.
then you waste your precious time on something stupid like live journal entries. but it doesn't matter because you're too tired to focus in the morning anyway. poor nutrition. poor sleep habits. too much work and not enough results. not enough time to relax.
hmph. poor humanity (for a much larger percentage than just me has this syndrome in a fairly advanced stage). if only we could pool our energy together and stop time. just for a little bit. or just add, say, six more hours to the day. sixteen. maybe.
need coffee.
don't want to work today. tomorrow. tuesday in rochester (was supposed to be my day off ):. wednesday. thursday. friday. saturday.
need to finish packing up and cleaning the apartment.
need to unpack here.
need to read the first two gospels for class. among other things.
need to run away.
