WELL I looked at an apartment today with Scott and Phil. Excellent, excellent place for the price. I volunteered for a the tiny bedroom with no closet since I'm the only one who would have a twin-size bed, but it's cool. The place is painted bright orange pink green and yellow, hence my subject heading. Hardwood floors, appliances, awesome roof porch, a dining room which we're going to use as a computer room type deal, built-in book shelves and a high mantle over a brick fireplace that we can't use but, you know, we can do the canlde thing. The attic is huge, and we'd share that with the lower appartment, plus the basement where we'll have a washer and drier. We plan on making our half of the attic a studio/ reading room. Outside of the place is just white with gray trim, and the neighborhood is aight and just maybe 2 blocks from UB south. It's on minnesota, but by baily. So, there's an assortment of houses around us, some shitty and some really nice.
SO scott's faxing the guy our application today, but they seemed pretty eager to help us move in so that's awesome.
YAY!
Only concern is that Phil has two kittens with claws, and The Bean is old and de-clawed. I hope they get along! I can't leave The Bean here, she'd waste away without my love!
TGIO party tonight- should be fun. I have to pick a sample from both my book and scott's cause he forgot to last night. I have no idea what to choose from my book- it all makes me look like a sadist or a pervert.
Oh, and I got my hair cut yesterday, for the first time at an actual salon, but she blow-dried and straightened it, so I have no idea how it will look in reality (because hair professionals create alternate realities when they do your hair, that's why they need certification). I've gotta take a shower anyway, so we'll find out, won't we? Yes we will.
