A sign... for what?

I was looking at the wikipedia entry for Lloyd Alexander (author of the Prydain Chronicles I've been talking so much about) and discovered two strange details about his life that could potentially be some kind of sign to me: first, that he died on my birthday last year; second, that his daughter's name was Madeline (and even spelled the same as mine!).

Is that weird, or have I simply begun to see signs where there are none?

I don't know. All that, and my discovery of Mrs. Gauger's passing (she introduced me to his work)... all in the same week. I don't believe in coincidence, so I suppose there must be something going on.
