um, so, i guess New Paltz was okay. i guess a lot of schools would be okay if i looked at them. but, um, the kids are all the same. all the same as in highschool. all the reason why i was ecstatic to get out at 12:30 every day of senior year and haven't been back since the graduation ceremony i was forced to attend under false pretenses (being that my ill grandfather would get out of the house and come up to visit to see me walk across the make-shift stage-- which didn't happen). all the same as the customers at tuesday morning, just in a different disguise.
can maddie survive submergence in a post-adolescent community?
can she withstand the constant barrage of ignorance and self-created drama?
can she sustain some semblance of her true self, even in the face of social obliteration?
maybe that's a bit extreme, but... is it really?

I think that was mostly it. *sarcastic* Too bad they don't grow up until after they leave college- what a fabulous experience it *could* be.
