Well, besides the fact that I'm almost officially a student at UB (I know, not the grandest [most grand?]of accomplishments, but it's a huge load off my back to know that I will be in school for sure in spring 2006) I have other good newses!

1) I found one of the last pieces for my Halloween costume... I may be able to salvage the idea yet! (has anyone else ever noticed that "salvage" is one letter off from "savage" [which is one letter off from "ravage"!]...)

2) My leg is getting better! I can tell in the subtle differences in pain that I'm actually improving. (If ever there were a connoisseur of pain, I may be it. Ever curious about the difference bewteen a stabbing pain, a piercing pain, and a slashing pain?)

3) I called my grandma today to let her know I got into UB and she said "So? That's not a surprise to me." Oh grandmas. She wouldn't be surprised if she found out I was the one who invented the internet. I love my grandma.

Well, on that cheerful note, I'm going to go drink coffee with the Bean [the cat {ha ha! not parenthesis!}].

Oh, and to people who have chronic, terminal pain conditions and live in the hospital off of a constant morphine drip, but they don't count.

Damn right they don't count. They have morphine.
