Feb. 22nd, 2009 03:56 pmWhile I'm waiting for my photos to upload to flickr so that I can update my travel blog, I'd like to take a moment and speak to you about pigeons (pronounced with a flamboyant French accent, pigeon!)and how great they are.
I have always loved pigeons. I have never understood why people don't like them, aside from the fact that yes, they carry diseases, but so do humans so what the hell. I can't fully describe why I love pigeons, but they are one of the few birds in the world that make me smile, that I feel a real connection with. I think they're beautiful, clever, astounding creatures.
I was looking at lots of pigeons in London this weekend, and was reminded of my affection for the bird. And I wondered if a pigeon could be a person's totem animal? So I looked it up when I got back today, and this is what I found:
