i haven't updated since before memphis? wow.
well, memphis was fun, graceland was creepy (his grave and his parents' graves were moved to the back yard for security reasons, but besides that, lisa marie is charging people to view her dead father's home? just weird), but reinforced my statement of being an "elvis girl" and not a "beatles slut."
i went camping this past week, in the beeeeuuuutiful allegany state park. i couldn't haul my chubby ass out of the second cave :( i did it last year! maybe i'm becoming a woman, and my upper body strength is migrating to my uterus, preparing for non-existant coming childbirth. that is after all the reason why i couldn't haul myself through, because it involved pulling myself up and positioning my hips over a rock jutting out of the narrow alcove, then pushing with my foot off a distant wall and pulling with both arms the rest of me out into the sunlight. almost like one of those cork-screw wine bottle opener things that look like legless people.
anyway, i may have gained 20 pounds since i started dating scott, but my ass is no bigger.
i did however do the GTOD trail (for those of you not enriched by the allegany lifestyle, the GTOD is camp Turner's house specialty, which is a mile that goes straight up 1000 ft of mountaint to a fire tower (Get Tough Or Die). I think i had an asthma attack 50 ft away from the fire tower, though i don't have asthma. i can only assume that the feeling that my bronchial tubes were closing was something similar. then we walked a 3 mile trail down to the road, then back to my car at the other end of quaker lake. mmmm. i have endurance, as far as walking goes, but i have no... lung capacity.
i haven't had a cigarette since thursday though!
