tequila+rhubarb+ice = energy shake

my brother is so cool. His graduate recital for double bass was today, and it was totally sweet. i video-taped it, so i didn't really get to watch watch it, but i got to hear it all live. apparently, his G string went out really bad during the first movement of the first piece (berkinstock) but i couldn't tell, and since i can hear within one 50th of a half step, i'd say he played pretty damn well.
it was... inspiring. partly because it was "inspired." i mean he's had such devotion and motivation for such a long time, and the bass means so much to him, to hear the product of over a decade's worth of effort is... once again, inspiring. it kind of reminds you why all humans shouldn't just be wiped off the face of the earth.
any way, after that it was back to his apartment for wine and "energy shakes" and now we're off for ice-cream (i feel like i'm in a twisted time warp, say about 7th grade... celebrate with tequila and ice cream).
so, i return to buffalo tomorrow, and continue to complain that i'm still in my first semester and one of my teacher's now is unavailable until march 20th. FUCK but oh well, maybe i should just go to a "real" college.
i miss scott...
but mostly the bean...
