The Crimson King Vs. King Crimson
Aug. 2nd, 2006 07:49 pmyou know what bugs me? drivers who are "good" in the spirit of the moment. I hate how everyone drives slow on Sundays, and after special church events everyone is all considerate and will let cars into moving traffic even if it completely disregards the cars behind them who are forced to stop.
(I just had to deal with traffic from a carillon concert at the church down the street)
It's not that I don't think people should be nice. I just think that they should only be nice if they're going to be nice on non-holy-days too. And only be nice if it doesn't unnecessarily piss off other people. I mean, it'd be nice of me to harbor an escaped wrongly accused fugative. But what about the police looking for him? It'd be nice of me to bake a pie for a friend. But what about my poor parents dying from heat exhaustion this week?
You know, really, it's just like xmass. Everyone acting all nice simply because it's the holiday season and it's a sacrelige to show honest reactionary emotion in December. Effin' phonies.
Nice people. Pah. They're so arrogant.
(This of course does not apply to you if you're habitually/genuinely nice...)
