Well, gosh darn it. I spent all this time looking for a group to join and a teacher to help me progress in my spiritual path and religious studies, and I finally found one that wasn't a bunch of people who had seen The Craft one too many times... and it goes and gets all haughty and passive-aggressive on me. That's ok. I would like to continue to study with them, but I knew it wouldn't last forever when they talked about honoring your body and then served nilla wafers, and said we couldn't wear jeans because it was the same as going to church. Poor nutrition and materialistic reliance is a sure sign of a weak pagan. Worse, a Wiccan.
Hmph.
Anyway, the decision is Kenna's. I told her I couldn't make Samhain festivities because I have an annual thing to help plan create and attend to with my family. She said be there or you're out. I don't do ultimatums, and when I told her again that I had a family obligation and she just straightened her notes and stared ahead of her... well, that decided for me. Never give a Taurus an ultimatum, OR be passive-aggressive. It really won't be my loss if I'm kicked out. Hearth-work just holds me back, gives me a cozy little place to belong to religiously while I sort out my spiritual path. Well, if I'm out, then I'm on to bigger things. Besides, the Jew in me didn't like the Celtic patterns on their ruanas anyway.

That's why I have a problem with any organized religion. Anything that includes "rules" and "rituals" - in my opinion - is bullshit. Faith is a personal decision and does not depend on external factors.
