Yeah, I was watching this program about Haiti, the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, where people starve to death and die of malnutrition-related diseases. It all boils down to money, really--we call ourselves compassionate people, but all that really matters is economics. If it were any other way than people would never fucking be without the basest of needs while our average people have these grandiose luxuries. We let it go because we got it, bitch. It's a-ok as long as we're on the right end of it, and there's lots to be profited from other people's poverty. But, yeah, I don't suspect the human race will last too much longer, WAAAYY too irresponsible. Amen.
