I remember a time several years ago when I was petting Zelda (high, which was a pretty common thing at that point in our history), and I could have sworn she understood what I was saying; I had this idea that dogs learned English, they just couldn't speak it and generally didn't let on. Who knows, maybe that's not so far-fetched (an unwitting pun, if you will).

Words, however a medium that we both like to paint with, are highly specialized and concentrated--Some things are too big to express with them. These are the things that need not be spoken, that are known. They are the product of all words, all experiences, everything that is shared. These are the things that are important.
